Area Overview
Sant Martí is located in the northeast limit of the city. It borders the sea to the east, the city of Sant Adrià del Besós to the north, and the districts of Horta and Sant Andreu to the west and l'Eixample and Ciutat Vella to the south, a total of ten neighborhoods, it is popular for its proximity to the sea, good subway and bus communications, the tranquility of its streets and its gastronomic and leisure offer. Some areas reflect its industrial past, with wide avenues and old buildings converted into lofts and offices. The Diagonal Mar and Front Marítim neighborhood of Poblenou has modern residential buildings. Next to Avenida de la Gran Vía de Les Corts Catalanes is the 22 @ district, home to numerous technology companies. Its contrasts give its particular character to the Sant Martí neighborhood.
